AI-assisted content policy
We use AI tools to help with parts of our work. This page explains where, and what safeguards apply.
Where we use AI
- Planning and drafting: we use Anthropic's Claude models to suggest outlines and first drafts from a brief that contains only our verified facts and approved hotel records.
- Checking: automated checks, including an AI-assisted fact check, compare drafts against our verified facts and flag unsupported claims. These checks are screening aids; they are not proof of accuracy.
- Illustration: some banner images are AI-generated illustrations created with OpenAI's image tools. They are labelled as AI-generated and are never presented as photographs of a specific hotel or property.
Safeguards
- A model's general knowledge is not treated as verification for travel facts that change.
- Drafts that fail checks, or that lack enough verified facts, cannot be published automatically and wait for an editor.
- We keep private records of the sources, model version and prompt version used for each AI-assisted article, and of editorial decisions.
- AI-assisted articles are labelled on the page.
Accountability
The FindBestHotels editorial team is responsible for everything we publish, however it was drafted. Please contact us about any error.
